2Q19 Average Sale Price Trends

Each quarter we calculate supplier average price trends both on the quarterly basis and annualized basis. Tech Financial Analysis uses average prices to observe industry trends and drive forecasted assumptions to the individual company P&L forecasts.  The P&L forecasts are located in our financial Model that comes with a customer's subscription.

Pricing can differ between suppliers due to product mix (TV vs. Mobile), screen type (OLED vs. LCD), and open-cell mix.  Therefore, we encourage our subscribers to also review the individual company financials in our model.

FY19 pricing is estimated to continue its downward trajectory as cash costs continue to gain more discussion due to the increasing China supply.  After decades an average price decreasing, we project LGD average pricing declines will start to slow as it shifts to OLED.  However, the other panel makers will likely see further declines in ASP and margins.
